Crime Stoppers of Reno County is a non-profit organization of citizens against crime. The Board of Directors is comprised of members throughout Reno County that are responsible for overseeing the operations of the organization. They set policy, coordinate activities with law enforcement and the media, and determine the reward amount. The directors are also responsible for fund raising. The Board meets once a month to conduct business and vote on the reward amount. Crime Stoppers of Reno County was established in 1985. Our Program now operates as an independant organization. The concept has developed into a combination of efforts by local media, businesses, civic and social clubs, law enforcement agencies, and the public. Donations of airtime, newspaper space, and reward monies have established Crime Stoppers as an effective tool to fight crime in the area.
Reno County Crime Stoppers, a nonprofit organization, helps to protect communities and schools throughout the county by partnering with law enforcement and the media to solicit and reward anonymous tips that prevent and solve crime.
